The Jimmy Carter Library and Museum | Carter Center 3 hours, 28 minutes ago I extend my heartfelt thanks for your unwavering support throughout the past year. Your generosity has enabled us to achieve incredible milestones and create a meaningful impact on the lives of those who are underserved.
These are just a few examples of what you helped us achieve.
Guinea worm disease is near global eradication with just 10 human cases confirmed at the end of December.
River blindness has been eliminated in large parts of Ethiopia, Nigeria, Sudan, and Uganda.
Trachoma’s impact continues to decline thanks to health education, medicine distribution, and vision-saving eyelid surgeries.
Several nations welcomed our election observation missions and assessments to strengthen democracy.
Grassroots and civil society organizations in the Middle East, North Africa, the Sahel, and the United States received training to advance peace.
Our global network of human rights defenders continued their courageous work, striving for justice and equality for the world’s most vulnerable communities.
These accomplishments, along with many others not listed here, were made possible by steadfast support like yours. Even with the recent cuts in government funding and increased pressure on our work, your dedication to the mission begun by President and Mrs. Carter has allowed us to create profound change in the world. As we look to the future, we draw inspiration from your partnership and remain committed to building a better world despite the challenges ahead. Thank you for continuing this journey with us as we work toward a healthier, more peaceful, and more equitable world.
With heartfelt appreciation,
Paige Alexander
